The Father's Heart for His Daughters

Ask any Father and he'll tell you that the quickest way you can get on his bad side is to slander or violate his daughter in some way. As a father of two daughters, I think I can speak for all father's and say that a sweet and innocent little girl is to be a most valued possession.

So often we see young female celebrities cave in to sacrifice their purity on the altar of fame and fortune. With their dignity and self-respect destroyed, the only fulfillment they find in life is to be noticed and "esteemed" by others. Young ladies will do anything to be valued, and so often eating disorders and drug abuse are the result of that desire.

By listing these celebrities to the right, I am not passing judgement on them. There is no "imaginary line" that any of them have crossed. What I want you to know is that these are all "Father's Daughters" - both in the natural and the spiritual. The Heavenly Father longs to see his daughters' innocence returned to them, and for them to find His Value and Purpose for them.

I feel that there are some of you who may feel led to pray the prayer of the Song of Solomon over these young ladies, for God wants to woo them back to His Heart. Pray against condemnation and hopelessness, silence the lying spirit that speaks to them and pray to build up the hedge protection that is broken down around them. Pray against suicide and depression ... and pray for the Calling of Deborah and Ruth to come forth (I felt particularly strong to pray this for Linday Lohan and Amanda Bynes). I don't know exactly what all that means, but let the Holy Spirit lead you in how you pray.

Joel 2:28: And it shall come to pass afterward, [that] I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions:

Psa 144:12: That our sons [may be] as plants grown up in their youth; [that] our daughters [may be] as corner stones, polished [after] the similitude of a palace:

Isa 49:22: Thus saith the Lord GOD, Behold, I will lift up mine hand to the Gentiles, and set up my standard to the people: and they shall bring thy sons in [their] arms, and thy daughters shall be carried upon [their] shoulders.
